Scenarios: where you are now

The home screen asks one question — "Where are you now?" — and the answer shapes everything that follows.

A scenario is a place: at home, at the doctor, at the pharmacy. Choosing one tells Loquela what kind of conversation this is, so the right things come forward and the wrong ones get out of the way.

Choosing the ones that matter

Loquela comes with a set of scenarios, grouped into a few categories. Most people only ever use four or five of them.

• Open All scenarios from the home screen.
• Browse, or search if you know what you are looking for.
• Tap the star on the ones that belong to their life.

Starred scenarios become the large cards under "Where are you now?". One tap and the conversation is open.

Choose fewer than you think. A home screen with four cards is a home screen someone can use without reading; twelve is a list to be searched.

What changes between rooms

The place changes what Loquela offers:

• At home, among family or with friends, there is no Introduce me card — everyone already knows — and no What we talked about.
• In a room where the languages differ, the language pair appears at the top and can be switched off for a visit.
• Everywhere, the phrase boards are the same eight. The room only decides what sits at the top of one.

Two things that are always one tap away

On the home screen, above the scenarios:

• Who I am — a short card that says who this person is and what is going on, for the moment when explaining is the hard part. It stays reachable even when the app is locked.
• Emergency — for when there is no time to choose a room at all.
